Segmental Non-mass Enhancement on Breast MRI

IMAGING FINDINGS: ​

​Axial subtraction image demonstrates homogenous segmental non-mass enhancement in the lateral right breast.

WHY IT MATTERS:

1. Non-mass enhancement is described by its distribution. Some distributions are more concerning for representing malignancy.
2. Linear and Segmental distributions are the most concerning for malignancy. They often represent DCIS or IDC extending along a duct system.
